Beschreibung
1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane is used as an active component of fluorine modified ORMOCER (organically modified ceramics) coating materials. It is a fluorine based polymer having low surface free energy, enhances its anti-adhesive behavior of polar and non-polar substances. Its wetting property acts in repelling aqueous electrolyte solution away from metallic substrates, thereby giving protection to metal substrate from corrosion. It is utilized in the surface modification of glass nanoparticles.

Anwendungen1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluoroctyltriethoxysilan wird als aktive Komponente von fluorierten ORMOCER-Beschichtungsmaterialien (organisch modifizierte Keramik) verwendet. Es handelt sich um ein Polymer auf Fluor-Basis mit geringer oberflächenfreier Energie, was sein Antihaftverhalten polarer und unpolarer Substanzen verbessert. Seine Benetzungseigenschaft bewirkt die Abstoßung wässriger Elektrolytlösung von metallischen Substraten und schützt damit das Metallsubstrat vor Korrosion. Es wird bei der Oberflächenmodifikation von Glasnanopartikeln eingesetzt.
Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Alkohol sowie aromatischen und aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen.
Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Feuchtigkeit und Oxidationsmitteln.
