3-(Methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) acts as a functional comonomer, which is used to prepare polystyrene latex having silanol by emulsion polymerization. It is used in the preparation of polymers in association with other monomers like vinyl acetate, acrylic acid and methyl acrylic acid used in coating, adhesive and sealing agents, which provides excellent adhesion and durability. The composite materials made from unsaturated polyester by using MPS improve mechanical property.

Anwendungen
3-(Methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilan (MPS) fungiert als funktionales Co-Monomer, das zur Herstellung von Polystyrol-Latex mit Silanol durch Emulsionspolymerisation verwendet wird. Es wird bei der Herstellung von Polymeren in Verbindung mit anderen Monomeren wie Vinylacetat, Acrylsäure und Methylacrylsäure verwendet, die für Beschichtungen, Klebstoffe und Dichtungsmittel verwendet werden, wodurch eine ausgezeichnete Adhäsion und Haltbarkeit gewährleistet wird. Die Verbundwerkstoffe aus ungesättigtem Polyester mit MPS verbessern die mechanische Eigenschaft.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren und starken Basen.
