Beschreibung
Bromotrimethylsilane is used as a mild and selective reagent for cleavage of lactones, epoxides, acetals, phosphonate esters and certain ethers. Further, it is used as a brominating agent and an effective reagent for the formation of silyl enol ethers.

Bromotrimethylsilan wird als mildes und selektives Reagenz für die Spaltung von Lactonen, Epoxiden, Acetalen, Phosphonatestern und bestimmten Ethern verwendet. Darüber hinaus wird es als bromierendes Mittel und effektives Reagenz zur Bildung von Silylenolethern verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Chloroform, Dichlorethan, Acetonitril, Toluol, Dichlormethan und Hexan.
Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Säuren, Wasser und starken Oxidationsmitteln.
