Chelating agent used in many enzyme buffers and as an enzyme inactivator at high concentrations.
Stock Solution (0.5M):
- 186.1 gm EDTA
- H2O to 800 ml
- Titrate with approximately 20 gm of NaOH pellets to pH 8.0.
- Bring solution to 1 liter with water and sterilize by autoclaving.
