Potassium tetrafluoroborate is used as an active filler in the preparation of resin-bonded abrasives. It is also used for extraction, refining and processing of metals in the chemical industry. It finds application as additive in alloying industry and welding agent. Further, it is used in the production of fluxing agents for brazing and soldering.

Kaliumtetrafluoroborat wird als aktiver Füllstoff bei der Herstellung von harzgebundenen Schleifmitteln verwendet. Es wird auch für die Extraktion, Raffination und Verarbeitung von Metallen in der chemischen Industrie verwendet. Es findet Anwendung als Additiv in der Legierungsindustrie und in Schweißmitteln. Löslichkeit
Schwer löslich in Wasser und heißem Ethylalkohol. Unlöslich in kaltem Ethylalkohol.

Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Inkompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
