Beschreibung

1-Propanol is used as a solvent and an entrainer in azeotropic distillation. It is used as a precursor to prepare propyl acetate, propylamide and propyl halides by reacting with acetic acid, ammonia and halogens respectively. It is actively used as a solvent in inks for flexographic printing, which is a technique used for printing. It is added to cleaners, floor polishes and metal degreasing fluids and is used as an additional solvent in the manufacture of adhesives. It enhances the drying characteristics of alkyd resins, electrodeposition paints and baking finishes in coating industry.

Anwendungen
1-Propanol kommt als Lösungsmittel und Schleppmittel in der azeotropen Destillation zum Einsatz. Es wird als Ausgangsstoff zur Herstellung von Propylacetat-, Propylamid- und Propylhalogeniden durch Reaktion mit Essigsäure, Ammoniak und Halogenen verwendet. Dient häufg als Lösungsmittel in Druckfarben für das Flexodruckverfahren. Es wird Reinigungsmitteln, Bodenpolituren und Metalle entfettenden Flüssigkeiten beigefügt und als zusätzliches Lösungsmittel in der Klebstoffherstellung verwendet. Es verbessert die Trocknungseigenschaften von Alkydharzen, Elektrotauchlacken und ofentrocknenden Lackierungen in der Beschichtungsbranche.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Wasser, Alkoholen, Ketonen, Aldehyden, Ether, Glykol, aromatischen und aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen.

Hinweise
Leicht entzündlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Alkalimetallen, Alkali-Erden, Aluminium, Oxidationsmitteln, Nitroverbindungen.
