Calcium fluoride is used to manufacture optical components such as windows and lenses, used in thermal imaging systems, spectroscopy, and excimer lasers. In combination with KF, it is a useful fluorinating agent for conversion of other alkyl halides to fluorides. It may be used in the fabrication of microfluidic capillary electrophoresis (CE) devices.

Calciumfluorid wird zur Herstellung optischer Komponenten wie Fenster und Linsen verwendet, die in Wärmebildsystemen, Spektroskopie und Excimerlasern eingesetzt werden. In Kombination mit KF ist es ein nützliches Fluorierungsmittel für die Umwandlung anderer Alkylhalogenide in Fluoride. Es kann bei der Herstellung von mikrofluidischen Kapillarelektrophoresegeräten (CE) verwendet werden.

Löslich in Ammoniumsalzen. Wasserlöslich (schwer).
Hinweise
Bei Raumtemperatur lagern. Getrennt von Mineralsäuren. Vor Feuchtigkeit und Wasser schützen. Nicht kompatibel mit Feuchtigkeit und Oxidationsmitteln.
