Phenol:Chloroform:Isoamyl alcohol 25:24:1 is used in the extraction of DNA for the generation of DNA minisatellite fingerprints. It is also used for purifying RNA.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Allgemeine Beschreibung

  • Diese Lösung enthält eine Mischung aus reinem Chloroform, Isoamylalkohol und Phenol, gesättigt mit Tris-EDTA, mit einem stabilisierten pH-Wert von 8,0

Anwendungen

  • Phenol-Chloroform-Isoamylalkohol-Mischlösung (25:24:1) wird bei der Extraktion von Nukleinsäuren, DNA und RNA verwendet
  • Wenn Nukleinsäuren mit der Phenol-Chloroform-Isoamylalkohol-Mischlösung extrahiert werden, wird eine klare Komponententrennung erreicht.Die in der Probe vorhandenen Proteine werden denaturiert und entfernt (gesammelt in der organischen Phase oder in der Interphase), während Nukleinsäuren in der wässrigen Phase verbleiben.Das Chloroform denaturiert Proteine und erleichtert die Trennung der wässrigen und organischen Phasen, und der Isoamylalkohol reduziert die Schaumbildung während der Extraktion.
  • Das Gemisch wird auch zur Generierung von DNA-Minisatelliten-Fingerabdrücken verwendet
