Description

Triisopropylsilane is used as a protecting group in peptide synthesis and is also used as a reducing agent for the selective reduction of anomeric C-phenyl ketals. It is used in the selective silylation of primary hydroxyl groups without affecting the secondary hydroxyl group. It is used in the preparation of anti-1,2-diols catalyzed by a Ni(O) N-heterocyclic carbine complex with high diastereoselectivity.

Anwendungen
Triisopropylsilan wird als Schutzgruppe in der Peptidsynthese eingesetzt und wird auch als Reduktionsmittel zur selektiven Reduktion anomerer C-Phenylketale eingesetzt. Es wird in der selektiven Silylierung primärer Hydroxylgruppen verwendet, ohne die sekundäre Hydroxylgruppe zu beeinflussen. Es wird zur Vorbereitung von Anti-1,2-Diolen verwendet, die von einem Ni(O)N-heterocyclischen Carbin-Komplex mit hoher Diastereoselektivität katalysiert werden.

Löslichkeit
Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Säuren und starken Oxidationsmitteln.
